Proposition 65 Information
Los Angeles Patch Co. is committed to providing high-quality products while complying with all applicable laws, including the California Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, commonly known as Proposition 65.
What is Proposition 65?
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to California residents about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment.
Why does this product have a warning?
You may see a warning on our packaging or product pages, particularly for our Custom PVC (Rubber) Patches.
PVC products are made flexible through the use of plasticizers. Some of these substances, such as Diisononyl phthalate (DINP), are listed under Proposition 65. Even if a product contains only trace amounts of a listed chemical, California law requires a clear and reasonable warning.
The Warning
For products that require it, the warning is as follows:
Is the product safe?
A Proposition 65 warning does not necessarily mean a product is in violation of any product-safety standards or requirements. The warning is simply a notification that the product contains a chemical on the California list. At Los Angeles Patch Co., we work closely with our manufacturing partners to ensure our products are safe for their intended use.

Part 2: Product Page Snippets (The “Where” and “How”)
You should place a “short form” version of this warning directly on the product description pages for PVC Patches. Do not hide it only on the legal page; it must be visible before the customer purchases.

Option B: For Embroidered/Woven Patches (General Caution)
Note: Pure embroidery usually doesn’t need this, but if you use metallic threads or plastic backings, some companies add it to be safe.
Notice to California Residents: This product meets all federal safety standards, but contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive harm under Prop 65.
