Custom School & Athletic Patches Los Angeles
High-grade custom patches for Southern California high schools, Little Leagues, and youth organizations. We specialize in authentic Chenille letterman patches and heavy-duty embroidered uniform crests.

Look at the Custom Patches Los Angeles floor right now. We are running thick Chenille letters for a local high school and high-density woven crests for a private academy.
The “Varsity Standard” for LA Athletics
Kids are brutal on their gear. You wash a cheap imported patch twice, and the edges fray. The backing wilts. It looks like a wet napkin on the shoulder.
We use a double-buckram stiffener on our sports patches. It acts like a skeleton. You can bend it, and it snaps right back into shape. We stitch everything using high-tensile polyester thread. It fights off friction. It survives the heavy-duty wash cycles parents use to get the mud out.
Patch Styles for Schools & Sports Teams
Pick the right tool for the job. Here is what we run.
Chenille Patches (For Varsity Jackets)
Run your hand over a letterman patch. That’s the “moss stitch.” We punch thick wool-acrylic yarn through a stiff felt backing. It stands up. It feels like a thick rug. It is heavy, bold, and strictly for varsity jackets and heavy fleece hoodies.
Classic Embroidered Patches (For Little League & Uniforms)
This is your standard baseball hat and soccer jersey patch. We lay down a thick, 3D thread structure. It sits proudly on the fabric. We wrap the edge in a heavy Merrowed border. It acts like a bumper to protect the stitching when a kid slides into second base.
Woven & Printed Patches (For Detailed School Crests)
Private schools love complex crests. They always have a tiny Latin motto or a detailed shield. Embroidery uses thick thread. It turns tiny text into an unreadable blob. If you need fine print, we use a high-speed loom to weave the patch with ultra-thin threads. You get crisp, legible text down to 2 millimeters.
Local Compliance & Exact Color Matching
We don’t guess your school colors.
Pantone Matching for LAUSD & Private Schools
“USC Cardinal” is a specific formula. “UCLA Gold” is a specific formula. If you tell me your school colors are blue and gold, I will ask for the exact Pantone codes. We match the thread dye to your school’s official style guide. No complaints from the Athletic Director.
Wash-Tested for P.E. and Field Play
The SoCal sun bleaches cheap thread. Bleach ruins it. We use colorfast polyester threads. They hold their color in the brutal sun and don’t bleed onto a white baseball uniform in the wash.
Attachment Methods for Parents and Teams
How you attach it matters just as much as how we make it.

How Pricing Works for Teams & Schools
I don’t hide the math. Machine time costs money.
Team Bulk Discounts & PTA Orders
We have a 10-piece minimum. But if you order 10 patches, you pay a premium for our setup time. It takes our operator 45 minutes to thread the machine, whether we run 10 pieces or 100.
Get the PTA or the Athletic Director to order for the entire 50-kid roster at once. The setup cost disappears. Your unit price drops fast.

Request a Team QuoteWashing & Care: Shop floor advice
Don’t ruin the gear.
-
Cold Wash: Heat is the enemy. It shrinks the cotton in the hoodie but not the polyester in the patch. That’s how you get “puckering”, where the patch ripples like a potato chip.
-
Air Dry: Keep it out of the high-heat dryer.
-
No Bleach (unless it’s Poly): Even with our poly-thread, don’t soak the whole garment in bleach. It weakens the glue on the iron-on backing.
Frequently Asked Questions (Schools & Sports)
What is the minimum order for school and sports team patches?
10 patches. We keep the minimum low so small travel squads and “Select” teams can get pro gear. But understand the math: the unit price is high at 10. Order 50 pieces, that is the “sweet spot” where the machine setup time is paid for and your price drops hard.
Can you match our specific high school or LAUSD colors?
Yes. Send us your style guide or a sample of your jersey. We use the Pantone Matching System (PMS) to match exact color codes. We don’t guess. If your school is “Royal Blue,” we pick the specific thread spool that matches that district’s history so your uniforms represent your school perfectly.
What is the best patch style and attachment method for Little League uniforms?
Classic Embroidered Patches are the standard, but you must Sew-On your patches. Period. I don’t care how good the glue is. If a kid is sliding into home plate, friction wins. Glue fails. Thread holds. Use our Iron-On backing for fan gear and cotton backpacks, but use Sew-On for anything that touches the dirt.
Do you manufacture custom Chenille patches for varsity jackets?
Absolutely. We manufacture authentic high-pile ‘moss stitch’ Chenille patches on stiff scrim felt. These are the classic, heavy, fuzzy varsity patches used by high schools across Southern California for athletic lettering and mascots.
How do you handle pricing for large school districts or leagues?
Talk to us about bulk. If you’re outfitting 500 kids across an entire league, we move into wholesale pricing. We accept official school district purchase orders (POs) and offer net terms for approved educational organizations.
How quickly can you deliver patches for an upcoming tournament?
Standard production is 10 to 14 days. If you have a championship next weekend and the trophies have just arrived without patches? Call us. We’re local in LA. We can run a night shift to hit a deadline if the art is ready. It will cost you a rush fee, but your kids will have their gear.
